Breeding time is determined by the creature's own base values and the multipliers active on your server. This calculator combines both, so a Rex, Argentavis or Yi Ling is measured with its actual profile rather than a single estimate applied to every species.

Start with the rates your server really uses

Egg hatch speed controls how quickly a fertilized egg incubates. The same multiplier also controls live gestation for mammals and other creatures that give birth. Baby mature speed controls the period from hatch or birth to adulthood. Both are speed multipliers, so increasing the value reduces the time. At 2x, a base duration is divided by two. At 10x, it is divided by ten.

The presets are shortcuts, not permanent claims about an event. Official rates can change during special weekends, and community servers commonly use custom values. If the server panel or announcement says breeding is boosted, copy those current numbers into the rate fields. Single Player also applies its own additional multipliers when the corresponding option is enabled, which is why its preset is much faster than ordinary 1x play.

Read the growth stages correctly

The baby stage covers the first 10% of maturation. During this period the creature must be fed directly from its own inventory. Juvenile begins at 10%, when the creature can eat from a nearby feeding trough. Adolescent begins at 50% and lasts until adulthood. The tool separates these stages because the first hand-feeding deadline is often more important than the final adult time.

The total cycle combines incubation or gestation with the complete maturation period. Mating itself and the time required to obtain a fertilized egg are not added, because mating speed and player positioning can vary. Use the finish-time field after the egg appears or gestation begins. The schedule then shows an estimated adult date in your local time zone.

Coordinate maturation with imprint care

At default settings a care request is based on an eight-hour interval. BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier scales that interval. A value below 1 creates more frequent requests, while a value above 1 makes them less frequent. BabyImprintAmountMultiplier changes how much imprint quality each successful care action gives. These controls are separate from maturation speed.

This separation creates the most common breeding configuration mistake. A server owner raises BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier but leaves the cuddle interval too long. The baby becomes an adult before enough requests can appear, making 100% imprint impossible even when every visible request is completed. Compare the estimated care actions required with the number of full care windows that fit before adulthood. If the requirement is higher, shorten the interval or increase the imprint amount.

Use mating cooldown as a range

Female creatures do not receive one fixed cooldown after mating. Each species profile supplies a minimum and maximum, and the game selects a value within that range. MatingIntervalMultiplier scales both ends. Setting it to 0.5 produces a cooldown range half as long as the 1x range. The calculator shows both values so a breeding plan does not promise an exact next pairing time that the game itself does not guarantee.

For a large breeding group, plan around the maximum cooldown if you need a dependable batch time. Planning around the minimum is useful for estimating the earliest possible next cycle, but some females will remain unavailable longer. A separate mating speed setting can change how quickly the mating progress bar fills, yet it does not replace the post-mating cooldown shown here.

Temperature only applies to fertilized eggs

Egg-laying species display the valid incubation temperature range when that information exists in the current creature profile. A timer does not make an egg incubate by itself. Air conditioners, torches or the surrounding biome still need to keep the egg inside its allowed range. Gestating species show “until birth” instead because temperature is not part of the live gestation timer.

Modded creatures may use custom values that differ from the base ASA data. For a mod creature, use the mod author's current profile if it is not listed here. The calculator focuses on resolved ASA creature profiles and removes obvious mission, boss and temporary variants that would only clutter normal breeding searches.

Connect the timer to the rest of your breeding workflow

Time is only one part of a strong line. Before mating, use the ARK Dino Stat Calculator and Extractor to identify inherited point allocations from visible creature values. The timer answers when the result will hatch and mature; the stat tools help decide whether the result is worth keeping.

Does EggHatchSpeedMultiplier affect gestation?

Yes. ARK applies the egg hatch speed multiplier to both fertilized egg incubation and live gestation. A value of 2 cuts the listed base time in half.

Why can a fast maturation rate make 100% imprint impossible?

Maturation and care requests use separate multipliers. If the baby becomes adult before enough care windows occur, you must reduce the cuddle interval or increase the imprint amount per care.

What does the mating interval multiplier do?

It scales the random female mating cooldown. Lower values shorten the minimum and maximum cooldown; higher values lengthen both.

Are official event rates included automatically?

No. Events change. Use the preset as a starting point, then enter the rates currently shown for the server or event you are playing.

Why is the finish time only an estimate?

The species times and rate math are deterministic, but a delayed claim, missed imprint, paused server or rate change can move the practical schedule.
