How ARK creature stat extraction works

The number shown in a creature's inventory is the result of several layers: species base values, inherited points, taming bonuses, imprinting, domestic XP levels and ARK's display rounding. This extractor reverses those layers by testing the combinations that are actually possible for the selected species.

Choose the exact species and variant first

A Rex and an R-Rex may look like close relatives, but ARK can assign different base values, level increments or stat rules to variants. Selecting a similarly named creature is one of the fastest ways to get an impossible extraction. Search for the in-game species name, then check the variant text before entering numbers. The creature list contains the resolved ASA parameters used by the current calculator rather than one generic formula shared by every dinosaur.

The selected stage matters just as much. Choose Wild for an untouched creature, Tamed for the value immediately after taming, and Bred for a newborn or bred adult before player-applied XP. A tamed creature needs its exact taming effectiveness because the affinity bonus changes some values. A bred creature needs the current imprint percentage because imprinting affects several visible stats.

Enter visible values, not point counts

This tool solves the opposite problem from an incubator calculator. Enter the Health, Stamina, Food, Weight and other final values shown by the game. For percentage stats, type the displayed percentage number. A creature showing 361% Melee Damage should be entered as 361, not 3.61. Blank fields are allowed, although a more complete set of values gives the solver more information to reject false combinations.

Torpidity deserves special attention. On a tamed or bred creature it acts as a level checksum because it follows the inherited level pool and does not receive normal domestic XP allocation. The extractor first tests Torpidity against every possible inherited total. It then uses the creature's current level to calculate how many levels remain as domestic points. A wrong Torpidity value, species, level or stage will therefore stop the extraction early instead of producing a confident-looking but incorrect table.

How to use the ARK tame stat calculator

For a freshly tamed creature, select Tamed and enter the level shown immediately after the tame completes. Add the taming effectiveness recorded at completion, then copy the visible Health, Stamina, Oxygen, Food, Weight, Melee Damage, Movement Speed and Torpidity values from the creature inventory. Do this before applying XP levels when possible. If the creature has already been levelled, the current level and Torpidity can still help the solver separate the inherited pool from domestic levels, but more complete stat inputs are needed to identify where those domestic points were spent.

What wild, inherited and domestic points mean

Wild points are the levels assigned before taming. Taming can add bonus levels, and the final point distribution immediately after taming becomes the inherited pool that offspring can receive. For a bred creature, the extractor labels this combined pool as inherited or wild points because one visible value cannot prove which portion came from an original wild allocation and which portion came through a mutation or parent.

Domestic points are levels applied after taming or birth through creature XP. They use a different per-level increment from wild points. If the creature level is 120 and Torpidity indicates 100 inherited points above the base level, the remaining 19 levels must be domestic. The solver does not merely divide the final value by one increment. It tests each wild and domestic split, recalculates the expected stat and retains only combinations that agree with the number displayed by ARK.

Why more than one answer can be correct

ARK rounds values for display. Two nearby internal results can occasionally appear as the same Health, Weight or percentage value. A partial extraction is not a tool failure. It means the information visible on screen genuinely permits more than one allocation. Entering the remaining stats can force the combined wild and domestic sums to match the creature level and often turns a group of possibilities into one exact solution.

If several possibilities remain, verify the number after a clean inventory refresh, confirm the game variant and use the exact taming effectiveness or imprint percentage. Do not silently change values until one answer appears. That can create a plausible allocation that does not belong to the creature.

Official ASA multipliers and community servers

The current release applies official ARK: Survival Ascended per-stat multipliers, including the special post-tame scaling used by Health and Melee Damage. Normal server rates such as harvest amount, XP gain, taming speed, egg hatch speed and baby maturation speed do not alter these creature stat equations. Custom settings that directly change per-level creature stat multipliers do alter the result.

If a community server advertises custom Health, Weight, Melee or tamed-stat scaling, treat a failed extraction as a possible server configuration mismatch. Custom stat presets are deliberately not guessed in this version because an incorrect preset can make every extracted point count wrong.

A reliable breeding workflow

Extract the parent before spending domestic levels whenever possible. Record the inherited Health, Stamina, Weight and Melee points, then compare the actual point quality with the ARK Stat Evaluator. That second tool answers a different question: whether a known point roll is average, strong or statistically rare for the creature level.

For eggs and unborn babies, the incubator already exposes point allocations. In that case, the ARK Incubator Calculator is faster because it converts known points forward into expected values. The extractor is most useful when only the final visible values are available, when checking an existing adult, or when separating inherited and domestic levels before adding a creature to a breeding record.

Breeding rates do not change inherited stat math, but they do change how quickly a line can be tested and imprinted. What is an ARK stat extractor?

It tests the visible values of a creature against the selected species formula and returns the wild or inherited points and domestic levels that could produce those values. It does not estimate quality from the final number alone.

Why is Torpidity required for a tamed or bred creature?

Torpidity increases with the creature's inherited level pool but does not receive ordinary domestic XP levels. That makes it the most useful visible value for separating inherited points from levels added later by a player.

Should I enter 361 or 3.61 for 361% Melee Damage?

Enter 361. Percentage fields use the number displayed by the game, without converting it to a decimal. The extractor performs that conversion internally.

Why can one stat have several possible point combinations?

ARK rounds displayed values. Different combinations of wild and domestic levels can occasionally round to the same visible number. More complete inputs, the correct variant, exact taming effectiveness and exact imprint percentage can remove many of those alternatives.

Does the extractor support boosted community server stat multipliers?

This first version uses official ASA per-stat multipliers. General rates such as XP, harvesting, maturation and mating do not change creature stat formulas, but custom per-level stat multipliers do. A creature from such a server may not match until a custom multiplier preset is added.

Can it separate mutation points from inherited wild points?

Not from one visible stat value alone. A bred creature can inherit levels and mutation levels that contribute to the same stat. The result therefore reports the combined inherited point allocation unless reliable parent or ancestry information is available.
